Following the bike path of solar energy
Another example of innovation taking place in the world is located in Amsterdam where a bike path is now generating solar power. This fresh concept of sustainable energy features a solar bike path (328 ft) is projected to produce enough electricity to power three homes. Called SolaRoad, it features solar cells inside concrete pieces. Although may some argue that it is less efficient than solar panels on houses due to its restriction of not being able to be angled and the cost ratio of this project (3.7 million) the potential it has is priceless. In the near future it has the capacity to generate clean energy right back into the grid by powering street lights, cars, homes and much more.
